Wellingborough U13  12  v  Rushden U13  24

Wellingborough put Rushden under pressure from the KO.  Secure ruck ball by the forwards led to a darting run by 9 Alex Smit offloading to 10 Jo Sullivan, who in turn passed a well timed crash ball onto Joel Smith bursting through for a try under the posts.  This was converted by Matt Finnigan.

The second try came from relentless forwards pressure, with David Manderville pouncing on the ball from a Rushden mistake.
However, Rushden capitalised on Wellingborough's missed tackles in the second half and came back to win the match.

Hooker scores after 5 years of trying

Jack Whittet scored his first try in 5 years for Boro, other scorers were Matty Palmer x3, William Bigley x2, Ethan Waller, James Millett, Shaun Mackie & Daniel Fitzhugh. 2 conversions added by Jonnie Oneill.  A good solid performance by all in horrible conditions.
