Great second half!!
Boro Colts lose final league game!
Boro Colts lost their final league game (Due to the demise of Daventry) away at Peterborough 44-22. With several changes and a number of people unavailable Boro's squad of 16 kicked off with 3 hookers and 3 props, 4 back row forwards and three scrum halves on the large wide pitch.
Inevitably as Boro were still finding their feet Peterborough scored 3 tries to lead 15-0. Once Boro got their hands on the ball they became a different side and scored tries through Ewan Grimshaw and Austin Coleman, however the half time score was 39-10 as Peterborough benefited from a hesitant and soft defence.
Once half time was over it became a different story as Boro pinned Peterborough in their own half and battered away at the try line, a Josh Anderson try and a first try for Wellingborough from Lewis Seabrook meant the second half score was 12-5 to Wellingborough.
There were some good performances especially in the second half and the two youngsters were singled out for praise from the whole squad, we need to try and play with the second half intensity for 70 minutes and results will come our way. The MuMU man of the match was Harry Shipman at scrum half, his attitude, vocals, determination and heart drove the team on in second half .
