Return to Rugby
Following the success of Back to Rugby, Wellingborough Rugby Club have been chosen to deliver the RFU’s Return to Rugby programme giving lapsed players an opportunity to get back into the game. The RFU are looking to bring players back into rugby who may have lost touch through work, educational commitments or injury and those who had just had enough and needed a break.
The twelve week programme will centre on training sessions held at Cut Throat Lane on Wednesday evenings from October through to end of December. Training will be provided by Owen Tomalin and a selected squad of club coaches and will consist of fitness and skills training and there’ll also be a chance to enjoy the social side of the game.
The campaign is headed up by England World Cup winner Lewis Moody and is designed to utilise social media to spread the word amongst friends and colleagues, and a promotional video is available to enable people to challenge each other to come and join in.
If you fancy getting back into the great game of rugby or know someone who might, spread the word and ‘Return to Rugby’ now.
