In what was a tough contest Boro came away with the win.
The A team took on Oundle and knew it would be a tough hard fought game. Boro started well with Jamie Baker making a break in midfield and passing to Aiden McAvoy who scored in the corner. Boro where making a lot of ground in midfield with Baker and Ricky Beetson leading the way. Beetson made another break through the centres in his own half and ran 60 metres to score under the posts converted by Rob Armstrong.
It was 12 v 12 at half time and Boro needed to up it a level to secure the win. After Tyler Ramoo got sun binned Boro put pressure on the Oundle line and came away with a penalty to take the lead. The game became a lot tighter with the forwards making yards through Mcgaely, Booth and Crabtree. Eventually Boro managed to crate some space for Mcavoy to score again and converted by Armstrong giving Boro a 10 point lead.
Boro lost their heads for a bit and gave away a string of penalties to allow Oundle to drive over from a line out to score. there was 5 points in it. Boro defended well with McGealy, Booth, Ramoo and Rhys Logan all putting in big tackles to deny Oundle a sniff.
The game finished and the boys knew they had all been a tough contest and I am proud of the lads for sticking together and seeing the game out.
