Blues win on the road in Leicestershire

Kettering travelled to an in-form Lutterworth side knowing that this was the first of 3 consecutive tough encounters which would have a huge bearing on the outcome of the play-off spot and home advantage if the Blues were to make it.

New boys, plus a golden "oldie", do the business at Ilkeston

The Blues travelled to Ilkeston with a much changed squad, as injuries and unavailabilities saw some new faces, and a familiar older one, take to the field and secure a 6 try, bonus point win.

Kettering travelled to lowly placed Dronfield looking to continue their unbeaten start to 2017, knowing that this could still be a potential banana skin, as league leaders Newbold almost found to their cost earlier in the season.

A beautiful spring afternoon greeted both sides to Ashby Lane. Lutterworth looked the firm favourites on paper given their home advantage and higher league position with Wellingborough fully aware they were very close to that 3rd place relegation spot.


Lutterworth 1st XV made the trip south to League rivals Leighton Buzzard. For those that study form the visitors should have been the favourites sitting reasonably comfortably in 5th....
