Improved Performance but no victory
This week Boro travelled to Huntingdon
Boro kicked off down the slope and with the wind and it wasn't long before some good play from Boro was rewarded with a penalty shot which was converted by Pete Vickers for an early lead (Hunts 0v3 Boro). This lead was doubled as the Boro back row made a mess of the opposition ruck, again the penalty was scored by Pete Vickers (Hunts 0v6 Boro). A period of scrappy play was then ended with a try for Huntingdon after some good work by their forwards (Hunts 5v6 Boro), Straight from the kick off some good chase work saw Boro giving the opportunity to extend their lead which Pete Vickers duly did (Hunts 5v9 Boro).
Huntingdon keeping the ball tight and not pushing out beyond the first man managed to make some inroads into a strong defence which eventually cracked allowing Huntingdon to take the lead (Hunts 12v9 Boro). This lead was soon extended as a high kick was spilled which Huntingdon collected to score (Hunts 19v9 Boro). On the halt time whistle Boro were awarded with another penalty shot which again was converted to put Boro within a score (Hunts 19v12 Boro).

The second half started with Huntingdon putting Boro immediately under pressure but some good strong defence from Boro saw Huntingdon initially prevented from scoring a try. However, Boro fighting against the conditions couldn't get themselves out of their own half and this proved their downfall as Huntingdon scored another try to pull away from Boro (Hunts 24v12 Boro). Boro's cause wasn't helped by the giving up of possession every time that they started to gain some momentum.
On one of Boro's forays into the Huntingdon half an errant lineout saw Huntingdon take full advantage and move immediately down the field to score a try, although this could have been prevented with some stronger defence (Hunts 29v12 Boro). As the half drew to a close Boro started to put some phases together with Ryan Hurved breaking through a gap in the defence to get Boro into the Huntingdon 22. Boro were awarded with a penalty after Tom Bryan went close, Pete Vickers tapped and dived over the line for the try which he converted (Hunts 29v19). However, the kick off wasn't gathered cleanly and the final whistle blew.

An improved performance saw Boro start to progress in the right direction again on the field but ultimately a couple of mistakes saw Huntingdon come out the victors. Boro's season is in danger if fizzling out and therefore this Friday is crucial in terms of ensuring that this doesn't happen.
