Forest fell Boro
Boro visited Leicester Forest and looked like they got lost in the woods.
Some weeks it’s just too cold to write and this week was one of those weeks, not only that the game was nothing to write home about either!
The first half saw an early try awarded to Leicester Forest after the Forest 10 gathered up a high pass and glided through a gap unoppossed in the Boro defence. Boro endeavoured to respond and made plenty of half breaks and at one point were camped on the Forest try line but to no avail. But Forest used the conditions to their favour and every time they got the ball they pinned Boro back into the twenty two undoing all Boro's hard work. Eventually Boro were rewarded with a penalty which was converted by Pete Vickers.

The second half was pretty similar to the first half except this time Leicester Forest couldn’t score the try and Boro again coughed up a few chances to take the game by the scruff of its neck and the lead. A consolatory penalty by Pete Vickers saw Boro move within a point but a valiant defensive effort from Forest and some poor execution from Boro saw Forest win.

The only words that can sum up this performance by Boro are unprintable! The game was played in poor conditions but Boro should have had enough to win this, instead we witnessed probably the worst performance of the season and the game was played to the oppositions strengths rather than Boro's own.
Next Sat sees Boro entertain Olney and to coin a word ‘bouncebackability’ is required, the team need to embrace the mistakes and errors made this week, pull together and get the ‘show back on the road’. Training is key this week not only for selection but for the team to actually play as a team, 'play the way you train'.
