Development team over expose Long Buckby!!

I windy day at cut throat lane was not enough to deter some hardy players from Wellingborough and Long Buckby putting on a show for the 6 spectators oh and Manager Giles Bolton who was still suffering from the Love Bug so decided to walk the line!!.

The game started with a bang with human canon ball Jason Minney setting the mood for the first half with a 65 yard solo try. This was an amazing achievement for Minney as his blood to cider count from the previous night was of epic levels. Much of the same followed in the first half with Hobo Jack Byran running the show from 10 when not taking timeout to busk for cash.

Marque new signing Liam Price starting in the 2nd row for boro and rolled back the years to register a first half hat trick, obviously positive previous coaching was flooding back to him. The score board was ticking over nicely even if Ben Taylor (who obviously has issues passing to Andy Fordham) and Harry Tarrent wanted to keep buckby in the game with generous passing and catching techniques.

The first half looked like finishing early due to a lacklustre Buckby wanted to hit bar but boro pushed on and Owen Tomalin bowled his way over from 20 yards the referee then decided that enough was enough and blew up 10 minutes short of the 40 minute mark.
Half time 40-0 to Boro

At half time Wellingborough’s fly half Jack “Hobo” Bryan offered his services to Buckby in return for rizla and the multi talented Ben Taylor switched to 10. With this change Buckby gained some early momentum and ran at the 9-10 channels with success and an unanswered 17 points. Up stepped John “keg” Redman who pranced though the buckby pack and scored a super solo effort the try could have been scored earlier but Keg decided against using Taylor and Tarrent wisely.
The game then saw something that was of exceptional quality as boro played out from behind there own line, the dynamic pack feeding the ball inside and out and the majestic backs cutting superb lines. Up the field they went 60, 70, 80 metres then the team were made aware the Gardiner was playing as he butchered a simple try. Thanks Nath!

Next up stepped Leon Hogan to score, his game at back row enhanced by playing with Price again for the first time in years our gain was the OUTLAWS loss as Hogan showed some lovely stokes of quality around the park. Boro cruised off in the final third of this game with Adam White, Harry Tatrrent (AT LAST), Jason Minney, Nathan Gardiner and Ben Taylor scoring great team tries.

The game was played in fine spirit and boro showed the 6 spectators that open the game can be played in any conditions.
