Outstanding play

WOW, WOW, WOW. Today the girls played fantastic. It was a must win match to put us through to the next round and we won it with style! With Lizzie poorly and Lis and Moonie away we went into the match a little apprehensive at the loss of some key players. All started great with a run and score by Jodie who unfortunately received an injury and came off after just 8 mins. Closely followed by Becky being taken off at 12 mins with ankle injury and then Charlie at 16 mins as too poorly to carry on. With so many players out and no subs left to fall back on we needed to use our strength, skill and team spirit to carry on........And that we did!!!!!
Hannah had a great game as usual and intercepted a brilliant ball from 40 meters and ran the ball over the line. She was not however too keen on having her hair pulled by the opposition and I think may have said something about this!
Georgia and Emily discussed a little move between them which worked to perfection, big kick over the ON's heads from Georgia with a fast pace run from Emily who caught the bounce and scored!
Much improved game for Jesus with an awesome dummy that sent the opposition the wrong way allowing her to run to the line for her first try this season.
Felicity showed great support running down the line and for the first time with ball in hand she headed in field and did not get taken out of the pitch, her off loads were great too.
Courtney has shown so much improvement she has shocked us all! This young lady has gone from playing the last 5 mins of a match increasing to nearly half a match but often becoming frustrated and sometimes upset to today where she played a full 70 minutes to the whistle and scored her first try of the season. Outstanding play! And still smiling!
Ellie Brightwell had her best game of the season, her off loads were timed perfectly, her tackles were solid and committed her passes were accurate she has improved massively.
Ellie Fletcher was on fire today again a much improved player who played her heart out today and it was very evident in the game play.
Rachel was brilliant today and always made sure she was there in support.
Ella also had a good game today she showed great strength throughout the match, moved the ball along the line with great passes and tackled well.
Emily had an outstanding game, she performed well in all areas.
Charlotte used her skills all over the field, pretty sure she stepped on every inch of it.
The entire team gave it 110% today. ON's are a good strong team and they did not make it easy today.
You have won your area cup and we go through to the next round. Well done Girls you are all fantastic and have many proud Coaches, Managers and parents supporting you all the way.
Forward of match goes to Ellie Brightwell for an all round superb game.
Back of the match goes to Jesus (Loren Cooper) for a much improved game and an awesome dummy

Jodie Mallard x 1
Hannah Walton x1 and x 6 conversions
Courtney Dawson x 1
