Boro lose latest league fixture
By Martin Plowman
More injuries add to Wellingborough U16's woe!
Boro headed to Dunstable for the latest league fixture still with 8 players unavailable due to injury and things didnt get any better as Captain Morgan Skett was helped from the field early on. The opening exchanges ended with Dunstable scoring three tries, most of the damage being done by one particular player! Boro then scored through James Ritchie and Joel Richardson added the extras to make the half time score 22 - 7 to Dunstable. The second half was then an even contest until the last 5 minutes when Boro ran out of steam. Special mentions this week to the pack especially Harry Gayton who crawled out of his bed to play, Dom Meylan Stevenson who led the forwards after losing Morgan and Reece Kerr back from injury. Tackling from Joel Richardson was only eclipsed by the efforts of Ryan Brown who was man of the match for Wellingborough in only his fifth game of rugby, thanks go to Lewis Borrell and Billy Taylor who despite injury still came to Dunstable to watch and to George Crisp who prowled the touchline.... Next week George, next week!!
