                                                       Season 2010/11

Dear Player

There have been a number of changes made at the Club over the close season and come the AGM I hope to be confirmed as Club coach with Kyle Danns as Club Captain.  As such I would like to ask for your support during the forthcoming season.

I think we, as a Club  should take this opportunity to re-group and build again on the experience we've gained over the last few seasons.  We start the season once again in Midlands One (East) our third season now at this level.  Now is the time for us to pull together, enjoy our rugby and mount a serious challenge on this league.

Rob Armstrong will be assisting me with the coaching and there will be 'guest' coaches from time to time. I hope you will all find training fun and improve as a result. Training this year will step up a gear both in intensity and variety.  Fitness testing will be incorporated throughout the season so to maintain 'high fitness' levels.

I would like to start the pre-season with a Players Meeting on Wednesday 16th June at 7pm.  This will be an opportunity to discuss where the teams are going and what aims and goals we have as a Club.  This is also a time to put your points and views across, so we can all move forward together working towards the same goals!

Pre-season Training will start on Tuesday 22nd June.  I have enclosed a schedule of some of the things we will be doing.  It lists the dates and time of all sessions leading up to the first game of the season.  It is important to note that training will play a key part in the selection of the match day teams this season.

I have also attached some information regarding Player Sponsorship.  If you have any queries or are successful in obtaining a sponsor please get in touch with me on either of the contact details above.

I look forward to seeing you at the Players Meeting on Wednesday 16th June at 7pm.

Best Regards,

George Shipman
Club Coach (designate)
