Colts lose League fixture

Ampthill Colts take the league points!

Ampthill Colts beat Wellingborough in the seasons first league game. Their big well drilled pack worked hard to take a 14-0 lead before they were pegged back after a break and score under the posts by Ben Plowman. Boro tackled their hearts out and kept Ampthill at bay to leave the half time score 14-7.
Ampthill switched tactics in the second half and played a wider looser game that eventually began to find holes in the Boro defence that lead to a final score of 41-7.
Several Boro Colts put their hands up for MuMu man of the match this week, Harry Gayton played well from the bench, George Crisp, Connor Gordon, Ben Plowman, Josh Anderson, Ben and Joel Richardson and Tommy Smith but the MuMu man of the match was Billy Hyman, destructive tackling and hard running lines from the vice captain.
